Synopsis: Anna and Bennett were never supposed to meet: she lives in 1995 Chicago and he lives in 2012 San Francisco. But Bennett has the unique ability to travel through time and space, which brings him into Anna’s life, and with him a new world of adventure and possibility.

As their relationship deepens, the two face the reality that time may knock Bennett back to where he belongs, even as a devastating crisis throws everything they believe into question. Against a ticking clock, Anna and Bennett are forced to ask themselves how far they can push the bounds of fate, what consequences they can bear in order to stay together, and whether their love can stand the test of time.

Fresh, exciting, and deeply romantic, Time Between Us is a stunning, spellbinding debut from an extraordinary new voice in YA fiction.

Review: This book was on my list of ‘want to read’ for weeks and finally it was time to be read. And the truth, I regret not having read before this book.

In the novel there are two main characters: Anna and Bennett. Anna is a sportswoman, loves music and has a dream in life: travel around all the world. She is a simple but charming person. I loved his personality in general and share with her the idea of traveling around the world. And Bennett is a normal guy or so he seems, because he has a secret: He can travel through time. He lives in 2012 while Anna lives in 1995. Therefore they should not have meet but they have changed the destination.

-They make several trips during the book and I love every trip, I even imagined more trips they could have done together.

-This book is addictive from the start because you want to know what will happen at the end between these two characters who live in a moment of the time that isn’t theirs.

-Tamara’s prose is simple but charming, she knows create curiosity in the lector.

-I always look how the author describes the characters and Tamara writes it perfectly. And that is why it is so easy to feel what they feel at all times.

-The love story. It is a sweet, touching and beautiful story. His love is very risky, it is not allowed such love between different time spaces and they don’t know what will happen after this. Bennett knows he has limits and shouldn’t do it but even so he decides to continue with her. It is a beautiful story and I liked it more than I thought.

-The only character who I don’t like is Emma, the best friend of Ana. I didn’t think she was a good friend at times.

-With the end of the book I’m not very happy although I know that many people love it. I was expecting something totally different and it seemed a hasty end.

-Few explanations about the power of Bennett. Although it is logical because it is a story of romance but I would have liked to know more about this.

-In translation into other languages the book has a forced sentences without any sense. It is best to read the original book because there are phrases that are difficult to translate.

I never had read a similar story, in which one of the characters can travel through time so didn’t know what I’d find. But surely I will repeat this experience. The book in general I liked it from the beginning because I was curious. It is hard to predict and quite original in the argument.

In conclusion it’s a novel that I loved. It’s compelling, original and romantic, especially romantic. A story in which two characters risk but not knowing what may happen to fight against what is established. It can alter your emotions a bit if you are sensitive. No doubt I will read the second part of this book.

My valuation for this book is 3/5.
