Sinopsis: Will Grayson meets Will Grayson. One cold night, in a most unlikely corner of Chicago, two strangers are about to cross paths. From that moment on, their world will collide and lives intertwine.

It’s not that far from Evanston to Naperville, but Chicago suburbanites Will Grayson and Will Grayson might as well live on different planets. When fate delivers them both to the same surprising crossroads, the Will Graysons find their lives overlapping and hurtling in new and unexpected directions. With a push from friends new and old – including the massive, and massively fabulous, Tiny Cooper, offensive lineman and musical theater auteur extraordinaire – Will and Will begin building toward respective romantic turns-of-heart and the epic production of history’s most awesome high school musical.

Reseña: Will Grayson, Will Grayson it’s a book I wanted to read since I read its synopsis. I found a very particular story because treat the homosexuality from a different perspective and this attracted me. The book doesn’t seem the typical book that talking about the homosexuality as a self-help book, the book seeks to treat homosexuality as something natural that you shouldn’t talk about it with prejudices. Therefore I expected an addictive and funny story , but it wasn’t so enjoyable as I expected.

The book is located in Chicago and narrates the story of two boys different in personality and physical but with same name. The first Will Grayson is a shy person, but Grayson has a friend named Tiny, who will remove this trait of his life. His friend will make a musical about Grayson’s life and also will look for a girlfriend to him. The second Will Grayson is in love with Isaac, they meet online. One day, they decide to meet in person and leave the screens but Isaac can’t go because he has a problem. This Will Grayson feels lonely and sad but early knows the other Grayson and his friend Tiny and this changes his life. They decide to make a travel where they will have enough time to face their fears and discover new feelings thanks to the opportunities that arise along the journey. From this perspective, they seem round characters who will change your way of being throughout story, but they are flat characters during all the book.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson is a typical teenage love story and this disappointed me greatly. Okay, it is a homosexual love and this is something very different from what we are used to read and see in movies, but its still a very simple and common story. I support the intention of the authors: homosexuality is something natural and no one should look at this with contempt, but they could have conveyed this in a more entertaining and fun way. I struggled to finish reading this book because it thought that there was no end and if I finished was thanks to the dialogue between both Grayson because were wonderful for me. I had never read a book by these authors because John Green writes loving books and I dont like so much that genre. Despite the bad experience with this book I think they both have talent to write, so I will give them a chance and I will read one of his lonely novels.

My valuation for this book is 2/5.
